We are now the Contribution Exchange.
In July 2026, the Council Advancing Work-Based Learning officially became the Contribution Exchange — not a change of direction, but a name change to better reflect where we have been heading.
Our commitment to Work-Based Learning as a legitimate field of study has not changed. We still believe that learning through contribution is valuable and deserving of recognition; it’s just too often invisible to the systems that should be able to see it.
What’s changed for us is the clarity of what we are building. Through the development of PathLedger and the Work-Based Learning Numbering System (WBLNS), our purpose has come into sharper focus: making contribution visible, portable, and in the hands of the person who created it.
The Contribution Exchange captures that purpose — and the future we are working toward. A world in which contribution-based learning can be seen, trusted, and carried forward by anyone, anywhere.
